Product Details

A beautiful award has been adapted from a stained glass window designed by Frank Lloyd Wright for the Dana-Thomas House in Springfield, Illinois. Constructed in 1902, the Dana Thomas House was built for Susan Lawrence Dana, a social activist & socialite. Because of the unlimited budget of the patron, Frank Lloyd Wright created some of his finest & most detailed art glass compositions for this elaborate home. Many are geometric abstractions of natural elements with Midwestern sumac plant as the primary motif. The natural form was interpreted, reduced to its basic geometry, & used in a variety of ways on more than two hundred windows, doors, skylight panels, & light fixtures throughout the home. Each award is branded w/Frank Lloyd Wright Collection copyright, & a portion of the sale is being donated to the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation on behalf of your purchase to ensure the continuity of this spirit. Romance booklet about this award & your donation is included for your presentation. 8" H x 12" W x 1.5" D
